Library card for guests

Individuals over the age of 16 may obtain a library card.

You will need:

  • a valid identity card
  • for persons under 18 years an authorization by a parent
  • according to the scale of charges of the state of Lower Saxony a one-time fee of 5,00 Euro

Validity (duration of membership) The library card is valid for one year. The period of validity can be extended free of charge at the Service Desk, also by telephone.

Change of address In your own interest, please notify the Service Desk immediately of any change of address. Please also note that your current e-mail address is required for notifications.

Loss of library card Please report the loss of your library card immediately to the Service Desk in order to avoid misuse. A replacement card can be issued upon request. The cost of this is 5.00 euros.

The library card is not transferable. By registering, you accept the usage regulations of Clausthal University Library.
